Orienteer — Issue 10 / DOGMA

DOGMA explores the tension between appearance and truth —the space between what is seen, felt and understood. Borrowed from the Greek doxa, meaning belief or perception, the issue moves through ideas of motion and stillness, image and reality, asking what happens when fleeting moments are suspended and made permanent.

Across glaciers, mountain trails, roadside rituals and distant landscapes, the stories in this issue reflect on endurance, spirituality, friendship and the shifting meanings we attach to the world around us. Photography, essays and poetry come together as fragments of experience — traces of movement held still for a moment longer than they should be.

Rather than searching for fixed answers, DOGMA sits within contradiction. A skier frozen mid-air, a runner deep in repetition, a landscape transformed into symbol. These images become less about documenting truth, and more about capturing how the world appeared in a singular moment — transient, subjective and impossible to fully hold onto.

Orienteer remains one of the more visually committed independent magazines we stock. UK cover price £24.
