Secret Trips — Autumn 2026
Wellness Special
Wellness tourism is a multi-billion-dollar industry, one set to hit the trillion mark by the 2030s. This issue marks our first wellness special, in which we scour the globe for what’s hot in the world of wellbeing. Quite literally, in the UK, this takes the form of Scandi-style saunas, a trend that has exploded in recent years. We also profile the world’s best yoga retreats, a South African safari spa and exclusive Alpine escapes that prove you don’t have to travel to the ends of the Earth to find remote rest and relaxation. Even the photo diary for this issue touches on wellbeing by providing a meditative journey through Bhutan. Jessica Antola’s stunning imagery gives a glimpse into a unique country shaped by religion, ritual and the rhythm of the mountains. This is juxtaposed with Leon Foggitt’s photography of Naples, the frenetic and fast-paced Italian city, which captured the heart of stylist and writer (and former resident) William Gilchrist, who dispenses his insider tips on the true Napoli. Speaking of which, our Secret Tips section is full of the usual far-flung destinations and under-the-radar recommendations, while our Edit section provides further wanderlust. We hope you enjoy reading this issue and feel inspired to schedule some “me time”. Where in the world that takes place is your call.
A travel and culture magazine that approaches a global event from the side door rather than the front. UK cover price £12.
